description

The trailbike designed by riders for riders

The ICB2.0 is the second mountainbike-frame developed by the Internet Bike Community. In cooperation with Alutech Cycles hundreds of users discussed and evolved the idea of a modern trailbike, perfectly fit for the trails at your own doorstep. Stefan Stark had the pleasure to incorporate the wishes and demands of the community into a viable design. The result is a versatile and long-lasting trailbike, designed by riders for riders.

Versatile

One of our users has optimized the shock extension topologically which means the rear end features a benchmark performance with a single pivot: it pops like nothing before. It is also very pedal efficient with a progressive suspension rate and minimal pedal kickback. In fact this is the first time that veteran bike designer Stefan Stark has accepted to actually construct a single-pivot frame - and just because of its convincing kinematics. 130mm of travel for everything from crossing the Alps to riding bike parks - a bike for every occasion.

Individual

On top of that you are able to build your ICB2.0 just the way you like it. There is ample tire clearance of up to 75mm, depending on the headset you can use suspension forks from 130-160mm travel, a drive train with or without a front derailleur and the crowd also thought of the fine little details like different cable routing options. After many months of discussion you can now route your cables in any way you need: internal, external, moto-style, for external dropper-post remotes, whatever you plan to build the cables will always be organized perfectly.

Durable

Less is more: The ICB2.0 sports just a single pivot - but what effort has gone into its construction! Endless discussions about the perfect type of bearing have led to constructing a main pivot with massive 40mm diameter angular contact bearings from SKF which come in the extra stiff O-alignment. Preloading the bearings will not deform the frames yoke - a first in bike building. The only thread on the frame is a robust M20, which even the most Klutzy of DIY-mechanic will have a hard time damaging.

General product notes

As with all color anodized parts there is a possibility of color differences and deviations between frame parts and welding beads. This is due to limitations of the current state of the art in this process and no reason for warranty claims. The surface of an anodized frame is very hard and scratch-resistant while being extraordinarily light.
