eFanes 2.0 MX Comp
Top news and from now on it is possible to mount a drinking bottle on all eFanes frames,
All new frames are equipped with threaded eyelets below the top tube and in front of the shock mount.
This means that a small 350ml standard bottle can be mounted on a small frame size and a 450ml Fidlock drinking bottle on a medium frame size.
The first eFanes was delivered in June 2021 - and the e-MTB from Alutech has since garnered a lot of enthusiastic comments and even more smiling faces. And that despite, or perhaps because of, the wide range in which the eFanes is moved.
The eFanes nextGeneration now represents the next stage of evolution and combines the best of our flagship CNC eFanes and Armageddon:
The design: the lines are even closer to the 'big brother', the legendary CNC eFanes. This was made possible not least by the new, CNC-milled motor bridge. However, the CNC motor bridge also has tangible technical advantages: the dock leveler is now more protected and easier to access. The cable routing has been optimized and designed to be more service-friendly. The rigidity is even higher. The shock mount and the chainstay yoke have also been significantly optimized in terms of weight and stiffness.
The weight: the frame has become over a kilo lighter, particularly due to the new design!
The geometry: the steering and seat angles have been changed - the steering angle is in two directions. Depending on individual preferences, there is a choice between a somewhat more moderate version with a more manageable/touring-friendly 64° steering angle and a more progressive, downhill-oriented version with 62.5°. The seat tube angle has become steeper at 78°.
The heart of the new eFanes is still the Shimano drive. The option of choosing an engine is new: you can choose between the new EP6 (the cousin of the EP801) and the well-known EP8 drive unit.
When it comes to the battery concerning the EP8 drive unit, you can choose between the lighter 504Wh version and the 630Wh battery for more range. An additional battery can also be ordered on request.
The Formula suspension and the Formula brakes have more than proven themselves - of course these components continue to ensure traction and control.
The frame is still tested for ASTM category 5 (as are all Fanes models), only the maximum approval of the wheels for category 4 for E-MTB has awarded the eFanes category 4 overall.
system weight is maximal 150kg
And last but not least: the second generation of the eFanes is also 'Made in Germany', hand-welded in Ascheffel.
The eFanes nextGeneration with the new Shimano EP6 drive unit will be available from around the middle of August 2023.
