eFanes 29/275 nextGeneration Comp SpecialEdition
The first eFanes was delivered in June 2021 - and the E-MTB from Alutech has since generated a lot of enthusiastic comments and even more smiling faces. And that despite, or precisely because of, the wide range of uses in which the eFanes is used.
Whether for a relaxed tour, sporty use on trails, ambitious descents and of course ascents in the mountains from the Harz to the Mediterranean, use in the area of ??its spiritual roots (Fanes / Dolomites), or racing in the E-EWS - the eFanes is simply fun everywhere and in many ways!
The facelift of the second generation was accordingly cautious, although the details are definitely worth seeing:
The design was repeatedly compared to its 'big brother', the sensational CNC eFanes with its very fluid and organic lines. The motor bridge has been completely redesigned and is now CNC-milled. The charging socket is now more protected and positioned on the top of the motor bridge, and the entire frame has become a few hundred grams lighter.
The geometry has moved gently towards the CNC eFanes, and the steering and seat angles have been slightly adjusted. The frame is also available in two versions: a slightly touring-oriented version with a 64° steering angle and a slightly more progressive and downhill-oriented version with a 62.5° steering angle - depending on your personal taste and riding style.
The heart of the new eFanes is still the Shimano drive, here in the special edition only with the EP6 (the 'little brother' of the EP801 with the same extensive adaptability and the new battery/motor management)
The battery is available in both the lighter 504Wh version and the 630Wh battery for more range.
An additional battery can also be ordered on request. The EP6 drive unit is delivered with the new Shimano Gen2 battery.
The Formula chassis and the Formula brake have more than proven themselves - of course these components continue to ensure grip and control.
The frame is still tested to ASTM category 5 (like all Fanes models), only the maximum approval of the wheels for category 4 for E-MTBs means that the eFanes is awarded category 4 overall.
System weight: maximum 150Kg
Top news and from now on it is possible to mount a drinking bottle on all eFanes frames,
all new frames are equipped with threaded eyelets for this below the top tube and in front of the shock mount.
This means that a small 350ml standard bottle can be mounted on the frame size Small and a 450ml Fidlock drinking bottle can be mounted on the frame size Medium.
And last but not least: the second generation of the eFanes is also 'Made in North Germany', hand-welded in Ascheffel.
Product weight: 22.800 kg
