ALUMINIUM – OUR MATERIAL, OUR CONVICTION

Why
Aluminium?

For us, aluminium is more than just a material – it’s part of our identity. Lightweight, strong, durable, and 100% recyclable. It offers the perfect balance of stiffness, durability, and weight – exactly what a bike needs for tough trail use. We source our tubes from specialized manufacturers, but the real craftsmanship begins in our workshop: every tube is processed, adapted, and hand-welded into a premium frame. We use different aluminium alloys depending on the application to achieve the best properties. This precise craftsmanship enables us to shape, optimize, and tune aluminium perfectly for every model – for maximum performance and a unique riding experience.

Handcrafted
in Germany

An Alutech frame is not a mass product. Every frame is hand-welded and assembled in Germany – with maximum precision and great attention to detail. Our many years of experience in processing aluminium allow us to create extremely durable, finely tuned frames that deliver exactly what real riders need. Depending on the load zones of the frame, we use specific alloys to optimally balance durability, weight, and stiffness.

CNC technology for ultimate precision

At Alutech, we combine traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge CNC technology. CNC-milled frame parts ensure precise fit, increased stiffness, and maximum durability. This method allows us to build frames with complex, highly load-resistant structures that conventional manufacturing cannot achieve. We use premium 7075-T6 aluminium for components like rockers and axles – known for exceptional strength and toughness. Every detail is carefully engineered, tested, and optimized – for maximum trail performance.

Hydroforming for perfect form and function

Modern hydroforming technology allows us to achieve not only a striking design language but also functional advantages. The specifically shaped tubes increase stiffness, reduce weight, and ensure optimal force distribution. The result: frames that not only look great but withstand extreme loads. Thanks to our blend-alloy construction, we use special fatigue-resistant aluminium alloys for the main tubes, while forged and CNC-milled parts provide maximum stability.

Aluminium with purpose

Carbon? We’re not against it. But we only use it where it truly makes sense – such as on the Punk, or as an option for the Fanes 29 rear swingarm. Aluminium remains our material of choice because it provides what our bikes need most: performance, precision, and sustainability in one.

More than just a material – our DNA

For us, aluminium is not just a raw material but a philosophy. It stands for control, resilience, and long life. Because in the end, only one thing matters: what truly proves itself on the trail.
