Our ePelmo Pinion MGU Enduro comes with 170mm travel at Fork and Rear Shock and integrates several innovative technologies into a future-proof overall system.
You have the choice: As an MX or 29er, it combines our powerful ePelmo with the Pinion E1.12 Motor.Gearbox.Unit.
The Pinion MGU is a unique and new drive system that combines a wear-free,
high-performance brushless motor and an electronically shiftable 12-speed gearbox with a 600% overall gear ratio in a compact housing.
The motor's power alone delivers an impressive 160 Nm of torque to the rear wheel in first gear.
Such high forces put extreme stress on the gearbox and cause significant wear.
The Pinion 12-speed gearbox built into the MGU therefore relies on proven, heavy-duty automotive technology, employing two gear sets with spur gears connected in series.
Pinion gearboxes have been used in mountain biking for over 10 years and have proven themselves under the toughest conditions.
On the ePelmo 1.0 Pinion MGU, there is no derailleur that can bend or break, no cable tension that needs adjusting to ensure smooth gear changes,
and no large sprocket cluster that collects leaves and dirt. The shifting and drive components are safely protected from dirt, moisture, and damage in a robust, sealed housing.
The Pinion MGU operates extremely reliably and is virtually maintenance-free and wear-free. A simple, quick oil change is only required every 10,000 km.

Gates Carbon Drive
Clean, quiet, durable
The Gates Carbon Drive is a carbon fiber reinforced drive belt that efficiently, quietly, and without slack transfer power to the rear wheel, without stretching.
A central guide for the belt ribs prevents it from slipping off. Unlike a chain, the Gates Carbon Drive requires neither lubrication nor special maintenance.
Dirt and mud can simply be rinsed off with water.
The lifespan of a Carbon Drive can far exceed that of a conventional derailleur system.
We use a Gates CDX belt with 122 teeth, a lightweight aluminum pulley with 39 teeth at the front, and a stainless steel pulley with 34 teeth at the rear.
The belt is guided by the Pinion tensioner. Our tensioner is positioned very high in the frame, thus achieving maximum ground clearance.

The Pinion E-Drive system offers four support levels:
“ECO” is designed for maximum range, while
“FLY” fully utilizes the system's enormous power at all times.
The “FLOW” and “FLEX” modes, on the other hand, are adaptive riding modes,
which are progressively designed and perfectly adjust the level of support to every riding situation and the respective terrain.
A sensitive start-up assist and an extra boost at the touch of a button complete the package.
All modes can be individually adjusted to your preferences in the FIT EBike Control App.
