For gravel, road, bikepacking, adventure, or occasional tours and everything in between, the SRAM Rival groupset knows how to have fun.
The SRAM Rival chain is no exception. This 12/13-speed chain adopts the innovative Flattop™ construction from the Force series.

And Flattop™ technology offers more than just a striking appearance. The unique link shape makes the chain not only lighter and narrower,
but also stronger and more durable. The special design creates more space on both sides between the outer plates of the chain and the sprockets of the cassette,
resulting in faster and more precise shifting and quieter chain operation.

Flattop™: To achieve the wider gear range of the X-RANGE™ cassettes and enable correspondingly smoother, smaller-stepped gear changes,
a narrower chain is required. To ensure that durability is not compromised, SRAM has added material to the flat side of the outer plates and hard-chromed the rivets and bushings.
Flattop™ chains not only surpass 11-speed models in terms of durability, but are also at least as efficient.
Flattop technology allows for a narrower chain with quieter operation, increased strength, and durability.
Compatible with both 1x and 2x eTap AXS.
Recesses in the outer plates reduce weight.
