Breaking news: effective immediately, it is now possible to mount a water bottle on all eFanes frames.
All new frames come equipped with threaded bosses for this purpose, located beneath the top tube and just ahead of the shock mount.
Consequently, a small 350ml standard bottle can be mounted on size Small frames, while a 450ml Fidlock bottle can be mounted on frames sized Medium and up.

The first eFanes was delivered in June 2021—and since then, this e-MTB from Alutech has generated a wealth of enthusiastic comments
and an even greater number of smiling faces. This is true despite—or perhaps precisely because of—the incredibly wide range of terrain and riding styles the eFanes is put through.

The eFanes nextGeneration represents the next stage of evolution, combining the very best features of our flagship models: the CNC eFanes and the Armageddon.

The Design: The lines of the frame now align even more closely with those of its "big brother"—the legendary CNC eFanes.
This was made possible, in no small part, by the new, CNC-machined motor bridge.
However, the CNC motor bridge offers tangible technical advantages as well: the charging port is now better protected and more easily accessible.
Cable routing has been optimized to be more service-friendly, and overall frame stiffness has been increased even further.
The shock mount and chainstay yoke have also undergone significant further optimization in terms of both weight and stiffness.

Weight: Thanks specifically to the new construction method, the frame is now over a kilogram lighter!

TEST In terms of weight, it may be a rather minor detail—but one that is all the more fitting and stylish for this bike:
the shock bolts and motor mounting bolts are lightweight, high-strength T40 titanium fasteners.

Geometry: The head and seat tube angles have been revised—the head tube angle on this model is 64°.
The seat tube angle has been steepened to 78°.

For the Custom version of our eFanes, we utilize a Shimano battery with a capacity of 630 Wh.

The result—and we say this without false modesty—is our best bike to date: superbly balanced, smooth-riding yet agile,
eager to surge forward as always, yet tracking the trail with a planted feel and abundant traction—the eFanes nextGeneration will make you a better rider, too!
For no matter whether it’s for a relaxed tour, spirited riding on the trails, ambitious descents—and, of course, ascents—
in the mountains (from the Harz region all the way to the Mediterranean), riding in the terrain of its spiritual roots (Fanes / Dolomites),
or even competitive racing in the E-EWS—the eFanes is simply fun everywhere!

And for those who want to know the specifics:

As always, the frame has been tested to ASTM Category 5 standards (just like all Fanes models); however, due to the
maximum wheel rating for E-MTBs being Category 4, the eFanes as a complete bike is officially rated as Category 4.

System weight (rider, gear, and bike): maximum 150 kg

And last but not least: even in its second generation, the eFanes is "Made in Germany"—hand-welded and assembled in Ascheffel, Schleswig-Holstein.
