eFanes 29/275 nextGeneration AXS Custom
Top news and from now on it is possible to mount a drinking bottle on all eFanes frames,
all new frames are equipped with threaded eyelets below the top tube and in front of the shock mount.
This means that a small 350ml standard bottle can be mounted on a small frame size and a 450ml Fidlock drinking bottle on a medium frame size.
The first eFanes was delivered in June 2021 - and the e-MTB from Alutech has since garnered a lot of enthusiastic comments and even more smiling faces. And that despite, or perhaps because of, the wide range in which the eFanes is moved.
The eFanes nextGeneration now represents the next stage of evolution and combines the best of our flagship CNC eFanes and Armageddon:
The design: the lines are even closer to the 'big brother', the legendary CNC eFanes. This was made possible not least by the new, CNC-milled motor bridge. However, the CNC motor bridge also has tangible technical advantages: the dock leveler is now more protected and easier to access. The cable routing has been optimized and designed to be more service-friendly. The rigidity is even higher. The shock mount and the chainstay yoke have also been significantly optimized in terms of weight and stiffness.
The weight: the frame has become over a kilo lighter, particularly due to the new design!
A rather small detail in terms of weight, but all the more appropriate and stylish for this bike: the shock mount screws and the screws for the motor attachment are light and high-strength T40 titanium screws.
The geometry: the steering and seat angles have been changed - the steering angle even in two directions. Depending on individual preferences, there is a choice between a somewhat more moderate version with a more manageable/touring-friendly 64° steering angle and a more progressive, downhill-oriented version with 62.5°. The seat tube angle has become steeper at 78°.
For the custom version of the eFanes the Shimano battery with 630Wh is set.
However, we have not changed our #trueriding philosophy: both the Shimano drive units (EP8 and EP801) and the components can be put together individually. And of course all frames are hand-welded and carefully assembled by us in Ascheffel.
The result is our best bike so far: super balanced, smooth-running and at the same time easy to handle, as usual hungry for propulsion and yet with plenty of traction following the trail - the eFanes nextGeneration will make you a better biker too! Because it doesn't matter whether it's for a relaxed tour, sporty use on trails, the ambitious descents and, of course, ascents in the mountains from the Harz Mountains to the Mediterranean, use in the area of it's spiritual roots (Fanes / Dolomites), up to racing in the E-EWS - the eFanes is fun everywhere!
And for everyone who wants to know exactly:
The frame is still tested for ASTM category 5 (as are all Fanes models), but the eFanes is only awarded category 4 overall due to the maximum approval of the wheels for category 4 for E-MTB.
system weight is maximal 150kg
